Surface Evolution was founded by Christopher John Patriarco — an American-born artisan whose passion for Italian craft traditions and 20+ years of design and sales experience converged into something the Des Moines market had never seen: bespoke, permanent surface artistry applied at the residential level.
Christopher spent two decades studying what separates a good finish from a transcendent one — working alongside master craftsmen, learning authentic Stucco Veneziano technique, and developing a commercial-grade resin & stone countertop system that delivers results previously only available to luxury hospitality and high-end design firms.
